Bishnupur is a city in Bankura district in West Bengal. The city is famous for terracotta & Baluchari Sarees. Bishnupur is called Mallabhum as it was ruled by Malla kings. Malla kings were vaishnav and they had built temples all over the city. At that time Bishnupur was very much famous for culture. Apart from unique architechure, Bishnupur was famous for music. Bishnupur Gharana is a part of Hindustani classical music. Our main attractions were Joramandir, Lalbandh, Madanmoha temple, Radhagobinda temple etc. We have shopped handicraft, terracotta pottery, jewellery, Baluchari sarres etc.
