Visit to Mukutmanipur-Part-1

Last night (10th October 2016) we had reached at Udayan Lodge, Bishnupur and were so tired that everybody in deep sleep. Today’s morning was very cloudy however; we have started our journey at morning and went to Mukutmanipur. The entire three hours journey by road was very exciting and eye delighting with natural beauty. We covered SonaJhuri Eco Park, Talberia Lake, Sutan Forest, Ambika Mandir, Pareshnath Mandir, Banpukuria Deer Forest, Kansabati Dam, Bangapal Reserve forest, Jhilmil forest.


Taldangha Eco Park is basically a picnic spot and we have enjoyed lot in boating. Entre area is surrounded by different forest and mountains. The silence is also a beauty of these places. Birds are singing at different tones which made the places colourful. We have reached Mukutmanipur followed by Panchmura. The place is amazing and nature gave every beauty to Mukutmanipur. Truly a very natural and eye catching place of west Bengal.


The second biggest earth dam of India is located at Mukutmanipur around 57 Km from Bankura. Deep green forest surrounded bluish water and hillocks are picturesque. The place is very famous for its natural beauty. The undulating terrain along the southern edge of the Kansabati water reservoir spreads as a three dimensional necklace in the area of green and terracotta. Bangapal Reserve forest was another place of tourist attraction for different species of flora and fauna. Around four kilometre from Kansabati Dam, one ancient town Ambilkanagar which was famous place of pilgrimage for Jains.
